Your May Art Update

As you read this, I’m likely getting an embarrassingly large stack of panels stamped for the Morgan Hill Plein Air Paint-out. Jon’s probably on the hunt for the nearest coffee shop, since we’ve been up since the crack of dawn, and our animals are most definitely in paradise with their petsitter and threw all loyalty out of the window.

A RECAP

A secret commission, lots of painting, lots of ceramics, and shipped a few paintings to their new homes! Here’s a glimpse behind the scenes.

Thank you dear customers that have purchased paintings! I adore you, and am beyond grateful for every bit of support. It really means a lot to us.

Making some little bowls as freebies to those that buy paintings! Not everyone will get one, and they will take a few more weeks, but these will be reserved for special repeat customers. :)

Wrapping up a million unfinished ceramics projects that I had around the house.

A lot of working and a lot of resting, at least on Pancake’s behalf.

Morgan Hill Plein Air Paintout

Artists and art lovers, do NOT miss out on this event. The 4th Morgan Hill Plein-Air Paintout hosted by the spectacular Colibri Gallery is one I’m really excited to return to. The caliber of artists is mind blowing, and we are SO lucky to have Bill Cone as the judge. He is genuinely one of my favorite artists. We will be painting our hearts out from May 1st-4th, ending on Sunday with a reception and award ceremony from 3:00-6:00pm. If you’re in the area, please come by, you won’t be disappointed.

FEATURED ARTIST - Aina Clotas

One of the best parts about plein-air events is meeting other artists and connecting with new people. Aina Clotas is one of the participating artists at Morgan Hill and her work is sooooo stunning. There’s a thoughtful quiet air to her work, and I love how she really gives everything her full attention and care. She is also a wonderful figure artist so do yourself a favor and check out her website to see more!
